The opening day for the summer of 2008 was an exciting one. Campers arrived throughout the day, excited and ready to... well... CAMP. Returning campers were not only excited to be back home... but new campers warmed up very quickly to the grounds. After a full day of registration, campers participated in a few light games of basketball, volleyball and soccer. And on this hot day, most of them cooled down with an ice cream bar from Gimme Shop. After dinner, we headed to the field for ice breakers with brother/sister cabins. Once well acquainted, all the campers sat in the pavilion to hear the introduction for the 2008 Antiochian Village staff. Before going to their cabins to settle in, campers were able to snack on some cookies and say goodnight. This great day gave the feeling that this will indeed be a great session!
