Sacred
Arts Camps are our newest programs at the Village, designed specifically
for high school aged teens (ages 15-18), giving them an opportunity
to use their God given talents for the glory of God. As a staff
member, you would serve as a guide and a counselor to your campers
while participating in all of the activities with them.
A male and a female counselor will be selected to serve each camp
(Chanting Camp and Iconography Camp). Up to 7 male and 7 female
campers will participate in each camp, and the campers and counselors
will stay in our cabins for the entire week. Iconography Camp will
be one week long (June 17-24, 2007), and Byzantine Chanting Camp
will be two weeks (June 17-29, 2007).
Sacred Arts Camp Counselors will attend a brief training beginning
Friday evening before the camp starts. Counselors may attend both
camps, but are not required to. Preference will be given to those
applicants that have been on staff before, and to those with experience
in either chanting or iconography.
