Winter Camp
Winter Camp Fun
It's about that time.  Summer is behind us.  Fall is fading fast and Winter is just around the corner.  That means it is time to register for Winter Camp.  We have put together a short video to give you a taste of what Winter Camp is all about.  Winter Camp is for teens in grades 7 - 12.  It is offered on Martin Luther King Jr. weekend (January 16-19, 2009) and on Presidents' Day Weekend (February 13-16, 2009).  For more information, visit our Winter Camp webpage or watch the Winter Camp video.  To register as a camper or apply to be on our Winter Camp staff click on the links below:
Winter Camp Speaker - Fr. Moses Berry
We are very pleased to announce that our speaker for both sessions of Winter Camp is Fr. Moses Berry, pastor of Theotokos "Unexpected Joy" Orthodox Mission in Ash Grove Missouri and the founder and curator of The Ozarks Afro-American Heritage Museum.  There is presently a full-length documentary in development entitled God's Garden that is "a journey of fatih, race and redemption as seen through the eyes of Fr. Moses Berry.  It chronicles his incredible life as a direct descendant of frontier legend, Daniel Boone, through idyllic beginnings as a child in the Ozarks, a dramatic awakening and miraculous release from jail, and to a surprising discovery in his African-American roots."
